Hi Valerie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I’m sorry to hear about your mom’s diagnosis, and am sending her my very best wishes for good health and wellness.
I have a dear friend who made big changes to her diet after a cancer diagnosis, and I understand how important good nutrition is during illness and recovery. I’m so happy to share that Walt Disney World’s Special Diets team is focused on making sure that Guests with special dietary needs are able to find the right food easily so they can focus on having a magical time. The
Special Dietary Requests web page is filled with lots of great details, and you’re also welcome to reach out to the Special Diets Cast Members by emailing Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
As I understand it, your mom
should be able to dine at most Table Service locations as long as you provide notice of your needs, so if whether she is dreaming of dining with Cinderella and friends in her castle at Cinderella’s Royal Table or enjoying the tastes and views of Africa at Sanaa, Special Diets will work with you to make those dreams come true. Once you've made your reservations, you'll add a note regarding her special diet and the dining team will work to ensure there are safe options.
I hope you have the most wonderful time together in The Most Magical Place on Earth, Valerie! As you plan and dream, be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news, and please come back and see us if you have any questions as you get ready for your fun-filled visit. It's our pleasure to help your family make pixie-dusted memories.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
