Hi! My mom and I decided on a whim to take my grandparents on a surprise trip to Disney World next month. What is the best week in April to go? How big are the crowds then, and how is the weather? Any tips for the Flower and Garden Festival? Thanks!!

How awesome! Three generations at Walt Disney World just for fun. Your grandparents will so enjoy this surprise trip with their daughter and granddaughter.

April is a marvelous time to visit with warm days of beautiful weather before the summer heat sets it. Expect sunny skies and highs in the low 80s. Avoid the week before and after Easter when the crowds are highest. The parks will be full of families on spring break and Easter vacation. Mid to late April would be a better time to visit.

Visit the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival web page to see what might interest you and your family. Flower Power concerts with music from the 1960s and 70s are performed live each weekend. Retro music groups are great multigenerational entertainment. As an HGTV fanatic I would recommend seeing a weekend presentation from one of this network's designers. Those people are so talented and good looking! Much of what is best about this festival is the visually stunning exhibits of flowers, plants, special displays, and famous topiaries. Be sure to allow some time to meaner around and gape at the beauty presented all over the park.

    Enjoy your magical vacation!
