Mom decided two days ago that she wanted to go to WDW one final time and 'Enchanted Experiences" are NEVER available, how can I get her a fireworks treat reservation that is also wheel chair accessible? Do reservations actually ever exist?

    Hi David,

Welcome to planDisney; we are delighted that you are here. The Enchanting Extras Collection has so many unique ways to customize and enhance your Walt Disney World Collection, and I understand why you are looking to book something off of the list to make your Mom’s final trip special.

To answer your second question, yes, reservations for Enchanting Extras do actually exist. I know quite a few fellow planDisney panelists and friends who have booked one of the Spectacular Sweet Spots (Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert Parties: Disney Enchantment Treats & Seats, Celebration at the Top: 50th Flavors & Fireworks at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparking Dessert Cruise). However, due to their extreme popularity, reservations go quickly. My family and I are Disney Annual Passholders, and a lot of our trips are planned “last minute.” It can feel impossible for us to secure reservations for the Enchanting Extras on our wish list. I definitely get a little frustrated when I keep seeing Buzz Lightyear tell me that there is "no spot available." I wish I was like Fairy Godmother and could “poof” you and your family a reservation. While I'm unable to, I can give you some advice on things that have helped me and others secure reservations in the past.

    - Check the reservation site and My Disney Mobile Experience app daily. Guests have plans change daily, and all experiences in Disney’s Enchanted Extras Collection have a 24-hour cancellation/no-show policy. I’ve had a lot of luck in the days leading up to my trip arrival, grabbing coveted reservations because Guests want to avoid paying a late cancellation fee. It is a lot of work, but sometimes a little bit of magic happens.

    - Try Guest Relations if you still haven’t secured a reservation before your trip! Cast Members really do make magic, and sometimes a Guest cancels their plans so last minute that spots open up for Enchanting Extras that don’t make the website. This is definitely not a guarantee, and sometimes despite wanting to help you, they are unable to do so, but in my experience, it never hurts to ask. The worst they can say is, “no, it is not available.”

    - Create your own Nighttime Spectacular Dessert Party. One of my favorite things to do is ask Cast Members where their favorite spot to watch Disney’s Enchantment or Harmonious is and then try out that location (they have the best tips). Then I send a couple of members of my party to grab the spot (typically at least an hour or two before the show starts), and the other members I send to grab dessert treats from Main Street Confectionery. Then we enjoy a yummy treat while we wait for showtime.

-Lastly, there are typically reserved areas for Guests in wheelchairs (plus one Guest) to watch the Nighttime spectaculars, but I know those are first-come, first-served, and go quickly.

Again, I’m sorry you have difficulty getting the Enchanting Extra you want, David. If there is anything else I can help with, please let me know! I’m sending all the pixie dust I can from Pixie Hollow that you will be able to make your mother’s final trip as special as she is.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
