My mom & I are coming for a short trip in May. I booked our room through the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista because I had points to use. Since it is an official WDW hotel, can I use Magical Express and do I have the option to purchase the dining plan?

    Hi Kristin!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. A short trip to Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect way to get a quick does of magic! Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is a great choice for your vacation "home". As a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel, you will receive some awesome benefits during your trip. As a Guest of Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, you will be able to enjoy Extra Magic Hours at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and you could make your FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance of your trip!

While Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel, it is not one of the Disney Resort hotels. Unfortunately, Disney's Magical Express is reserved exclusively for Guests of the Disney Resort hotels. So you will need to use an alternate mode of transportation to get from Orlando International Airport to Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. Also, Disney dining plans must be purchased with a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, which also includes a reservation at a Disney Resort hotel and Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets. So you will not be able to use a Disney dining plan during this trip.

I have enjoyed multiple vacations at the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels and they have all been fantastic trips. Plus, since you were able to book your reservation with reward points, you are saving a little bit of money for extra Dole Whips and souvenEARs! Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
