Greetings Liz!
Thanks for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am really excited you are planning on taking a multigenerational trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! The Disneyland Resort truly is a place where families can have fun together regardless of age! While there currently is not a discount offered for seniors, rest assured there are plenty of opportunities for your mother to enjoy herself. In fact some of my favorite memories at the Disneyland Resort with my family have been while not riding an attraction!
At
Disneyland Park, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of Main Street, U.S.A. is a tremendous way to feel the spirit and history of this park. I like grabbing a sweet treat from Candy Palace and taking a seat in Town Square to listen to the Disneyland Band, Hook & Ladder Co., or The Dapper Dans. Plus you never know what characters you may meet around this bustling area. Also consider a relaxing voyage on the historic Mark Twain Riverboat where you can observe the picturesque scenery along the Rivers of America.
Over at Disney California Adventure Park, some of our favorite non-attraction activities include interacting with the Citizens of Buena Vista Street, watching the Red Car Trolley News Boys, and singing along with Five & Dime. We also enjoy feeling the great outdoors in Grizzly Peak. Here little ones can hike the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail while adults can appreciate being transported to a majestic national park.
Don't forget to also check the
entertainment schedule for nighttime spectaculars, fireworks, or parades during your stay. I promise that your mother will have an unforgettable time! Please feel free to stop by with any other questions.
Have a magical day!
