Hi! My mom (62) and I (35) are coming to Disney January 11-14 and I'd love some tips in regards to hoppers/fast passes. It's my first time here and I want to enjoy the most out of our short time. Should we do a 3-4 day hopper?

Hi, Erin! Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World vacation! May it be the first of many!  I definitely suggest four days allowing at least one day in each park.  When planning a trip during the winter months, deciding whether or not to add the Park Hopper option is tricky.  The theme parks have shorter operating hours, so my first instinct is to tell you to add the option to allow for more in-park time (going from one park to a later-closing park).  However, the crowds are low at this time of year, so you can accomplish more in less time and may not need to change parks.  So, I am going to suggest another choice.  Don't purchase the Park Hopper option in advance.  After your first day, you will know whether you are going to need to have the Park Hopper option to be able to see and do everything.  If you decide you want the option, just visit any Guest Services, ask them to add it, and pay the upgrade fee.  The cost is the same in advance or on-site.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
