my mom has a chornic back issue and may require use of a scooter, however she does want to forgo it some days and do her best to walk the parks. Is it possible to get a pass to get thru the lines faster since the standing still or minimal moving in line

    Hi Laura!

Yes, you can get a Guest Assistance Card (GAC) for your mother at Guest Relations in in any of the theme parks in Walt Disney World. Typically, Guest Relations are located in the front of each park. For example in the Magic Kingdom, Guest Relations is located in the Town Hall which is on the left just as you enter Main Street USA if you are facing Cinderella Castle. The Guest Assistance Card will enable your mother and up to five other members in your party access to alternate entrances to attractions and on most rides will let you bring your scooter up to the ride loading positions without having to stand up in long lines or walk long distances. The Guest Assistance Card is good in all of the four theme parks of Walt Disney World for the length of your stay, so you only have to get it once per vacation. You will need to present the Guest Assistance Card to the Cast Members at the attractions (typically you go to the Fast Pass entrance of a ride) and they will instruct you where to go.

My mom used an electric scooter on one of my recent trips to Walt Disney World and we utilized the Guest Assistance Card. It really helped her avoid standing for long periods of time and having to walk long distances. Keep in mind that a Guest Assistance Card does not guarantee you immediate access to a ride or an attraction, but it helps immensely for those guests with special needs or mobility issues.

I hope that your whole family has an extra magical time on your next trip to Walt Disney World!
