    So my mom is going to buy us tickets to Disney World for next summer. We are responsible for our food and hotels. We are planning on staying at one of the Disney resorts and was wondering how we could add dining plan to resort stay?

    I wish your mom were my Fairy Godmother! Having Walt Disney World Resort tickets gifted to your family is such a special treat. 

    Michael, at this time, you can add a dining plan to Walt Disney Travel Company packages, including theme park admission and a Disney Resort hotel stay with arrivals on or after January 9, 2024. It sounds like it would be best if you booked the Walt Disney Travel Company package and have your mom pay you for the tickets purchased with the complete package. 

    Once you purchase a Walt Disney Travel Company package, you’ll have two dining plan options to choose from: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. If you enjoy sit-down meals, I recommend going for the Disney Dining Plan. The specific number of meals and snacks included with the dining package is determined by the number of nights included in your package stay.
