Hi Mary, welcome to planDisney!
I recently discovered the joy that is girls' trips to Walt Disney World Resort. Ride all the rides, especially Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Eat all the snacks, especially the Gingerbread Caramel Cookie Sandwich from Karamell-Küche. Take all the pictures, especially Magic Shots captured by Disney PhotoPass photographers.
Thanks to your excellent communication skills, Mary, I understand your situation perfectly. In order to gain access to the MagicBand linked to your My Disney Experience account profile in your mom's account, you must merge that profile with your newly created My Disney Experience account. Here's how:
- Ask your mom to click "Update" next to your name on her Family & Friends list.
- Your mom should then click "Share Planning with Mary," enter the email address connected to your My Disney Experience account, and click "Continue."
- In the email you receive from Disney Destinations, click the green "Accept" button.
Once you accept the email invitation to connect, all of your vacation entitlements housed in your mom's account (including your MagicBand) will automagically transfer to your account. You will remain connected with your mom as Family & Friends, which means you can view and make plans for each other on any future visits.
If your MagicBand happens to be more than two years old, Mary, it may no longer have the power to
link attraction photos to your My Disney Experience account. Just in case, make sure to enable Bluetooth for your
My Disney Experience mobile app. You especially don't want to miss the "crazy hair, don't care" shot on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
As you continue planning Disney, Mary, be sure to
planDisney. Making memories is our specialty!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
