Hi, there!
Welcome back to planDisney, Johannes. We're delighted to see you again! Based on your last question that my planDisney pal Nilson answered, I think your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is just a few days away. How exciting!
It was super generous of your mom to buy Theme Park Tickets for the whole family. Traveling with a big family is sure to be BIG fun! I once visited the Walt Disney World Resort with my extended family of 14 and while we had a magical and memorable stay, getting everyone connected through Family & Friends on My Disney Experience was a bit of a hassle. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a similar issue! I can't be sure why you're not seeing your mom's account in your Family & Friends list. I recommend
sending your mom an invitation to join your Family & Friends list. If she accepts the invitation after receiving the email notification and you
still don't see her on your list, not to fret. If you're able to
call the My Disney Experience line from New Zealand, I suggest doing so. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist you! Otherwise, chat with a Cast Member at the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel or at a Guest Relations location in any of the theme parks as soon as you arrive. They'll be sure to work it out for you!
A July visit is the perfect time enjoy your Disney Resort hotel's uniquely-themed pool and the you-may-get-wet attractions, like
Tiana's Bayou Adventure, in the theme parks. After eating lunch, my family likes to hit one of those you-may-get-wet attractions and then head back to our hotel for a dip in the pool. Once everyone has had a chance to cool off and recharge, we head back to the theme parks for nighttime fun (which is usually a bit cooler, in terms of temperature)!
I hope this was helpful, Johannes. I'm wishing you and your family a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Ashley
