My mom and I (ages 53 + 28) are planning a trip Dec 6-13. We're very excited about seeing all the holiday festivities and decorations. Do you think we would enjoy MVMCP? Do you have any ideas for a special mother-daughter activity? I'd love to surprise her

I think you would have a lovely time at the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It’s a  magical evening for guests of all ages. Without children in tow, you’ll be able to visit the attractions that most interest you and enjoy spending time together in the middle of a Christmas Wonderland.

I would suggest seeing the second parade usually held at 10:30 p.m. The shows such as Mickey’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas” are festive and fun. I would advise seeing the later shows to avoid crowds. Stroll the park, enjoy holiday treats, shopping and dining.

Surprise your mother with tea at the Grand Floridian! The Garden View Lounge serves a beautiful afternoon tea each day. Even if tea is not to your liking, a la carte offerings include wonderful beverages such as champagne cocktails. There are also delectable treats to choose from. Before or after your tea, I would stroll the grand gardens. There are also elegant shops to explore.

Another option would be a spa treatment at the Grand Floridian’s (or Saratoga Springs) spa. Here, you’ll enjoy luxurious treatments while spending quality time together. You can see a menu of services as well as current rates at relaxedyet.com. These spas are run by Niki Bryan Spa.

Have a truly magical time on your mother-daughter trip!
