Does modifying a lightning lane reset the 2 hour rule? If I make a LL at 8am, modify it to 1pm, will I still be book again at 10am? For Disneyland Genie+, not WDW. Thank you!

    Hiya Rachel,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us!

You’ll feel like the Genie with “infinite cosmic power” when you use Disney Genie+! I’m happy to answer your question and won’t ask for one of your three wishes!

Modifying lightning lanes allows guests to select a different time, alter their party, or change the attraction in whichever theme park they are currently in. Another great feature about modifying lightning lanes is that your two-hour window will not reset! If you cancel a lightning lane to book a new one, then the timer will reset, but modifying does not change the two-hour timer! So feel free to “bee yourself” and modify your lightning lane!

Tip from Tiffany: Did you know that as soon as you scan a lightning lane to enter an attraction, you are eligible to book another lightning lane? I like to pick my next lightning lane before entering the attraction, and then immediately book the next lightning lane while walking up the queue! So take a minute to select your next lightning lane experience and have it pulled up on your Disneyland app to book as soon as you scan into your current attraction!

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you ain’t never had a friend like me!
