How do I modify a ticket to a new person in my party?

Hey there, hi there, Stephanie! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you stopped by with your question for us.

It looks like you are planning a visit during the most magical time of the year! That is so exciting to hear. I am happy to share that if plans change, like who will be in your party for your visit, there is no need to worry. As long as a ticket is wholly unused, and it is not a special offer ticket that has requirements, you can let someone else use the ticket. Unfortunately, you cannot easily do this in the Disneyland app like you can in the app for Walt Disney World. The newly added Guest would just need the ticket ID number to be able to link it to their MyDisney account. However, this will not remove the ticket from the original Guest's account in the app. They would need to call into Ticket Services to initiate the removal of the ticket from their account. Furthermore, if a name was added to the ticket, the Guest who used their MyDisney account to purchase the ticket will need to be the one to call in or use the chat feature in the Disneyland app to change the name on the ticket.

Be sure to check the Disney Parks Blog in the next few weeks, as I am sure we will be getting more announcements for all things holidays at Disneyland Resort. I know I am anxiously awaiting the Foodie Guide, so I can make a list of all of my must-try foods for my family's visit.

Stephanie, thanks so much for your question!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
