If you’re like me, you’re probably counting down the days until
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise opens at Magic Kingdom Park on April 4. I can’t wait to get on the grid and see a video of my experience automatically show up in the My Disney Experience app following my ride. Sounds like biodigital jazz to me!
I’m so glad that you’re trying to get comfortable with
Disney Genie+ service and the My Disney Experience app before your arrival. Guests can now modify existing Genie+ Lightning Lane selections instead of having to cancel and rebook. To modify a Genie+ Lightning Lane selection, press the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner of the screen, select “My Disney Genie Day,” and toggle to the “My Day” tab. Press the "•••" and then select “Modify Plan” from the menu that appears. You should see new arrival window times for the attractions they currently have booked or new experiences at the same theme park to replace their existing Lightning Lane selection. You can also modify your group by removing people from your Lightning Lane selection. Once “Confirm change” is selected, the original Genie+ Lightning Lane selection will be canceled for those Guests.
Guests can make additional Genie+ Lightning Lane selections once they redeem their current selection, their full arrival window has passed, or after 120 minutes has passed from the original booking. I always set an alarm on my phone to remind myself to book a new Genie+ Lightning Lane selection, but the app recently added a note at the top of the Disney Genie+ service that tells you what time you can make your next selection. I love this feature!
