I modified a previously booked cruise (same ship/itinerary but different dates). Will the onboard gifts that I purchased previously transfer over to the new sailing?

    Welcome aboard, Caroline!

How exciting to be looking ahead towards a Disney Cruise Line vacation! As a born-and-raised Maryland girl, I’m thrilled to see you planning this special trip to a different kind of waterway aboard a gorgeous Disney Cruise ship! I’m glad you were able to shift cruise dates as your plans changed, and I’m happy to help you confirm your previously purchased Onboard Gifts and Amenities.

I love the option to select Onboard Gifts and Amenities in advance of a cruise – whether it’s planning a wine package or surprising loved ones with stateroom décor or a cake, it’s a wonderful way to add some magic to your sailing! A friendly Disney Cruise Line Crew Member confirmed that these purchases should carry over to your new reservation since it was a change and not a full cancellation of your cruise but encouraged you to contact them to be certain.

If you call Disney Cruise Line or use the Live Chat feature on the website, they can look up your exact reservation for you to be sure everything is as it should be with your purchases tied to the new reservation. Be sure to have your reservation number handy, and the original confirmation email of your amenity purchase would be helpful if easy to find too. They will give you peace of mind or make it right if something was missed in your reservation update.

Did you know you can also use this feature to apply onboard credit for your own cruise? This credit can be used to cover anything typically charged to your stateroom account. You’ll receive a note in your stateroom indicating the amount credited once onboard. I like to do this if I’ve saved up Disney Gift Cards or have a Rewards Redemption Card from my Disney Premier Visa, for example. This saves a visit to Guest Services onboard and feels so magical to already have some credit in my account when I arrive.

Find this option under Gifts and Amenities and then navigate to Shop by Category > Onboard Credit. You can purchase the desired amount of Onboard Credit by applying the Disney Gift Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card as the form of payment. Like magic, some of those future stateroom charges will already be taken care of!

Please sail back and let us know if you have any further questions as you finalize plans for this special vacation, Caroline.

Wishing you a practically perfect sailing,
    Amy
