What "Moderate" resorts would you recommend for Boy(11) and Girl(8) & 2 adullts. Planning a trip for June 2010.

    Hi Paula!

My family's favorite Moderate resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  My family, including my 10 and 5 year old children, enjoys the theming of the Alligator Bayou section of that resort.  They also enjoy the pool area there and love the relatively long water slide.  You may also enjoy Port Orleans French Quarter which is much smaller and also has a nice pool, but their water slide is much shorter than the one at Riverside.  However, if you stay at either of the Port Orleans resorts, you can enjoy the amenities and services of the other; you just have to walk or ride the boat between them.  Both resorts offer two double beds or one king bed.  If you go with Port Orleans Riverside, my favorite buildings are 14 and 18 in the Alligator Bayou section as they are close to the food court, restaurant, main lobby, and pool area.

There are also carriage rides offered at Port Orleans and boat transportation to Downtown Disney.  I really enjoy the boat ride, especially at night.

Enjoy planning your trip and write back if you have any more questions!
