Which moderate resort would you recomment based on size, busses, and pools (slides). Keep in mind we have 4 kids in our party ages 8-14. Thanks so much for your help!

    Stacy:

Because the room size at the Moderates Resorts are all the same, I think Port Orleans: Riverside will be your best fit, here's why:
    • Although Caribbean Beach Resort's pool area is well-themed after a Spanish fort, it tends to attract younger families with its water play station and canons. Ol' Man Island at Port Orleans offers slides and a jacuzzi, too, and may be a better fit for the older ones in your group.
    • All of the Moderate Resorts have multiple bus stops, so it's pretty even. However, if this is a deal-breaker, consider staying at Riverside's sister resort, Port Orleans: French Quarter. The resort is the smallest at Disney--which is wonderful for navigating. There's only one bus stop, but sometimes it will share a bus with Riverside. Plus, guests also have access to Ol' Man Island (a must since it's own pool is relatively tame).
    • Coronado Spring's advantage is its food court with lots of stations. However, you can match this at Riverside because of its leg up: its boat access to Downtown Disney and its plethora of restaurants. My kids love the boat--well, I do, too, and for kids the ages of yours, it's another attraction in itself. There's so much to do at Downtown Disney from dining to shopping and if you have the Water Parks & More Option on your ticket, DisneyQuest is there.  Our family typically visits the day we arrive and the day we leave.
    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
