What moderate resort would you recommend for a couple traveling without their children, on an anniversary trip? Thank you for all your help.

    Hi Teri,

That's an easy one for me to answer! My favorite moderate resort for a couple's getaway is -- hands down -- Port Orleans French Quarter. My husband and I have stayed there for our anniversary several times.

It's small, quiet and has a more adult feel to me than the other moderate resorts. The last time we were there on our anniversary, we had a corner room with a king-sized bed that felt very spacious and luxurious. Plus, the resort is centrally located for all the theme parks, and you can take the water taxi from the resort directly to Downtown Disney.

There isn't a table service restaurant at POFQ, but you can get fresh, hot beignets in the food court (YUM!). And it's an easy stroll to Port Orleans Riverside for a meal at Boatwright's, if you choose.

I hope that helps. Once you've decided on a resort, then you can think about where you want to have your celebration dinner or dinners. Please write back if you want suggestions.

    Happy anniversary in advance. Enjoy!
