which moderate resort would be the most convenient when visiting Magic Kingdom with an infant and stroller?

    Lisa:

It sounds like you are looking for a resort that is compact and not spread out, and one that doesn't have a bus that makes a million stops.

I would suggest Port Orleans: French Quarter. The smallest of the moderate resorts, it is big on convenience! Even the buildings that are the farthest from the bus stop are only a 5-minute walk away. Because all moderates only provide bus service the parks, I also like the French Quarter because there is only one stop at the resort versus multiple ones at its sister Port Orleans: Riverside. (On my visit there last September our bus to Animal Kingdom also stopped at POR but we had direct buses to Epcot and Magic Kingdom in the mornings.) If you really want to cut down on your walking, make a request when you book your vacation of a room near the Main Building and bus stop.

You'll also like its boat service to Downtown Disney, and Port Orleans is the only moderate resort to offer this. Be aware, though, that there is a step down to the boat from the pier.

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
