All aboard, Marianne! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so happy you reached out to us with your question.
The
Walt Disney World Monorail is truly a classic. Just watching it pass by is a joy to see! For me, no
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is complete without a trip on this "highway in the sky" at least once...preferably arriving at
Magic Kingdom Park. While I love all forms of Disney transportation, nothing comes close to the monorail.
None of the moderate hotels have access to the monorail. It makes stops at
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. These are all
deluxe-level hotels. However, some
moderate and even
value resorts have great transportation options. Some resorts have access to the
Disney Skyliner and even
boat transportation options. Of course, the
Walt Disney World Bus Service from any hotel will be able to get you to the parks and
Disney Springs quite handily. And let's not forget that you can use the
Minnie Van Service to hire a ride to get you to and from the parks in classic Minnie Mouse style!
If you're an
EPCOT or
Disney's Hollywood Studios fan, to me, you can't go wrong with a value or moderate resort on the Disney Skyliner route. This includes
Disney's Pop Century Resort,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. You can use this mode of transportation to get you to and from those two parks very easily! Plus, it'll even connect you to
Disney's Riviera Resort, where you can have a fun character meal breakfast or fancy dinner at their rooftop restaurant
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera.
Marianne, no matter what
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel you choose, you are bound to have an amazing trip. Please
reach out again in the future if you have any other questions!
To infinity and beyond,
Matt
