At the moderate hotels at Disneyworld that have water slides-are there minimum height or age restrictions?

    Hi Laura,

Walt Disney World resort pools are awesome! The size and theming of the pools vary by location, but many of them are almost like water parks all on their own.

There's no posted height minimum to use the slides. A couple of things you should know: Every person must slide alone. You can't carry a child down the slide on your lap. Children also should be able to follow directions on when it is their turn to slide to keep a safe distance between them and the person in front of them.

It's usually best for a small child to go between two adults, at least until they get the hang of the routine. Even though the water isn't super deep in any of the Walt Disney World pools, I certainly would recommend that small children wear a life vest on the slides. Life vests for infants to adults are available for use free at all resort swimming pools.

All moderate resorts at Walt Disney World have a pool with a water slide. I'm partial to the ones at Coronado Springs and Port Orleans French Quarter.

Thanks so much for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your excellent question. Please let us know if we can do anything else to help as you plan your family's vacation. Enjoy!
