Are there any moderate hotels that have balconies? We would like to sit outside and enjoy our coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. I know the Polynesian does but we were going to try to stay in a moderate resort this trip.

Hi, Mary!   All Moderate (and Value) Resorts' rooms open to the outside to an exterior hallway (think "motel" style.)   To have a balcony, you will need to upgrade to a Deluxe Resort.  But, be careful here, as not ALL Deluxe Rooms have a balconies, so make sure to request a balcony room when making your reservation.   (For example, some rooms at the Polynesian have a sliding glass door, but no balcony.)

If you want to go with a Moderate Resort, you might want to try Coronado Springs.   This resort has some nice lounges (both inside and outside) where you can enjoy an evening cocktail.   I also love the cozy queen beds at Coronado.

If you need more information on staying at a Moderate Resort vs a Deluxe Resort, let us know!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
