Hi Laura!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by as you plan for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
Laura, I suggest reviewing the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules for specific guidelines on the types of mobility aids allowed in the parks before making any purchases. The rules cover a wide range of topics and you can compare that information with the specifications of this particular device. Ultimately, the final decision on what is or is not allowed into the parks rests with the Cast Members working the front gate and security as you arrive at each park. Outside of the feasibility inside the theme parks, you may also need to consider whether or not your device would be able to be safely accommodated on
resort transportation if you are planning to utilize the Disney Skyliner, buses, water taxis, and monorail during your stay. Each of these has options to
accommodate Guests with mobility needs traveling in a wheelchair or ECV, but I cannot say for certain that you would be able to travel with this device.
If an ECV would be beneficial during your trip, please know that these are
available for rent at each theme park and can be used while in the parks that day. There are also length-of-stay rentals from Scooterbug, the Disney Featured Provider at Walt Disney World Resort. With advanced reservations, Scooterbug can have an ECV delivered to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and also pick it up at the end of your trip. Additionally, you may want to check out more information on the Walt Disney World Resort website about
accommodations for Guests with mobility needs as it may be helpful during your planning process!
Laura, I hope this information helps you prepare for a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other planning questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Cheers,
Kristi
