Hi Amy, and welcome to planDisney!
Island vibes await you at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort! It is one of my favorite Resort hotels because of its proximity to the
Disney Skyliner (wheelchair accessible) and its yummy eats at
Sebastian's Bistro. I am more than happy to help ease your mind, so you can begin daydreaming about sunny days and fruity drinks.
As you may know, there are no elevators at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. However, the good news is that all wheelchair-accessible rooms are on the first floor at this Resort hotel.
Your room type will most likely be in the Jamaica, Aruba, or Barbados villages. This Resort hotel is pretty spread out, so I highly recommend that you request a specific area depending on where you'll spend most of your time. Jamaica, the section I stayed in during my last visit, is the closest to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort's Disney Skyliner station. But if you want to be closer to the main building and the beautiful feature pool,
Fuentes del Morro, request a room in the Barbados village.
AN EXTRA GEM: Amy, you can request a room during online check-in using
My Disney Experience (via desktop or in the app). Or you can
call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and speak to a friendly Cast Member to set up your request.
I hope that you have the most magical vacation, Amy! If you have any other questions as you plan your trip, don't hesitate to
revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
