Is the Mobile Ordering for Quick Service taking Disney Gift Cards? I have been stocking up of them for a few years and have over $1,000.00 to be used on meals since we will not be on a DDP. Or is this something they are considering when the parks open?

    Welcome BACK, Katherine!

It's so great to see you asking another great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are talking about one of my favorite Disney subjects - Dining! And you're also using one of my favorite methods for paying for all of this wonderful Disney food, by stocking up on Disney Gift Cards pre-vacation! Currently Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering through the My Disney Experience Mobile App does not support Disney Gift Cards. I'm very hopeful that this feature will be added in the future; I know one of the park improvement features currently happening is updating the complimentary resort-wide WiFi, so fingers crossed an app update supporting gift cards will happen soon. Definitely keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any new Walt Disney World Resort News.

I do have one trick that you might be able to use; while charges made utilizing Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering hit your linked credit or debit card as soon as they are made, purchases using your MagicBand go to the card on file at your Disney Resort Hotel and have a few hours before they are officially charged. When I pay for meals with my MagicBand, at both Table-Service and Quick-Service locations, I'll visit the front desk of my Disney Resort Hotel and pay off those charges the same day they were made. If you go this route you'll have to visit the front desk every day (I usually go at night after we get back from the parks but before I go to bed), but I love this method because it means I don't have to carry around hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards all day - they can stay nice and safe in my guest room.

I hope that this helped plan your upcoming Disney Days, Katherine, and if you have any more Walt Disney World Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
