Hello! When mobile ordering, is it possible to get food in to go boxes, if we wanted to bring lunch back to the resort for our little ones to nap?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Sicari, and welcome to planDisney!

It’s so nice to meet you and very exciting to see that your visit is quickly approaching! Are you ready for this visit? Now is the time to begin adding the final touches to your vacation package. Things like Lightning Lane reservations and any last-minute dining reservations should be added this week. Of course, you can always check while you are in the parks too, but I personally like to plan these things in advance, especially if I'm looking to enjoy a "must-do" experience.

Speaking of dining, I know that plans can shift with little ones, so I’m more than happy to help answer your mobile ordering questions. As a mom, I’m a huge fan of mobile ordering, especially because once you open the My Disney Experience app to order, you’ll find that on the ordering page, there are pictures of the meals. The pictures make ordering so much easier because everyone in my family can “point” to what they want. And trust me, seeing it makes ordering easier in general.

While I don’t see the feature to make your mobile orders “to-go” for in-park orders, that feature is available for resort orders. If you really want something to-go in the parks, I recommend bypassing the mobile ordering process and asking a Cast Member at that location if they have to-go boxes before proceeding with the order. I am also pretty particular with my meals and prefer to eat my food hot. So while my heart might be set on a meal in the theme parks, I would rather eat at my resort to avoid my food getting too cold on our way back to our resort.

Depending on the age of your Mouseketeers, I also recommend checking out the Baby Care Centers located in each of the theme parks. They are the perfect place for your little ones to cool down, have a snack, or a place for you to purchase any essentials you may have forgotten to bring for them. My little ones loved visiting the Baby Care Centers when they were newly potty-trained. It was the perfect place to go, since it felt more like home with the quiet space and child-sized toilets. The reduction of distractions also helped us better address their needs, especially for my son, who still needs a moment of peace to escape. So if you find yourself in between naps and need a place for them to cool down before transitioning back to the room for a nap, this is where you’ll want to stop, trust me.

Sicari, I do hope this has helped answer your question. If you find that you have any others, please don’t hesitate to ask! We here at planDisney are always eager to help.

    Magical Memories,

    Shantel

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
