When mobile ordering food it says come back between, let’s say 1-1:30. Do I just show up any time between then or how do I know when to go? If I order ice cream do they make it once I arrive so it doesn’t melt?

    Hi, there!

Welcome back to planDisney, Christina. We just love when you stop by with new questions about your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I'm glad to hear you know about the Mobile Order feature on the My Disney Experience mobile app. This handy tool has saved my family lots of valuable time in the theme parks! My family likes to place our order while we're in line for an attraction. Once we're done riding, we head for the dining location where we placed our order, and within minutes, we're enjoying a delicious meal. How convenient is that? Let's chat about how mobile ordering works!

When you're ready to place an order on the My Disney Experience mobile app, select "+" and then "Order Food." First, you'll select an arrival window. The arrival window just gives the dining location a head's up about when to expect you. Next, you'll make your food and beverage selections. This step is extra cool because you can customize certain menu items. As a mom of a picky eater, that's a lifesaver! Once you are finished making your selections, you'll view the order summary and complete your purchase. Plan on getting to the dining location any time within your 30-minute designated arrival window. When you get there, select the "I'm Here, Prepare My Order" button on the app and the kitchen will get to work on your order. Since they won't start working on your order until you've arrived, you can count on your selections being freshly prepared! Isn't that great? You'll receive a notification from the app when your order is ready, including directions on where to retrieve it. It's that easy!

Be sure to review the Know Before You Go section of the Walt Disney World Resort website before your visit this Spring. It has lots of important information about the health and safety measures that are being taken in and out of the theme parks!

I hope this was helpful, Christina. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
