Welcome to planDisney, Cathy!
How exciting that you're headed to
The Most Magical Place on Earth this November! I always love visiting at that time of year because the temperatures have cooled (allowing me to wear my favorite Mickey-inspired jackets), the sun sets a bit earlier so that we can enjoy the theme parks aglow in their nighttime splendor a bit longer, and there's typically a slight lull between the holiday seasons. It's truly a magical moment in time!
Now, I can tell that you're my kind of Mouseketeer, Cathy, because you're looking to maximize your time in the theme parks by utilizing
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. This is a great way to avoid the lines at
Quick-Service Restaurants during peak meal times. Just be sure to plan ahead and monitor return times so that you'll know when you want to place your order. I'll be honest, bypassing the line of hungry Guests waiting to place their orders and having my food appear without a wait feels a lot like magic!
Unfortunately, you won't be able to charge mobile order purchases to your room, but you can store the card on file used for room charges as your default payment method in the My Disney Experience app. If you'd like to use a
Disney Gift Card to purchase your mobile orders, these cannot currently be stored in the app, but they are an accepted method of payment. You'll simply need to enter the gift card information manually. I've found it helpful to store the card number and EAN in the notes app of my phone so that I can simply copy and paste the information when necessary. It's important to keep in mind that not all locations offer mobile ordering, so be sure to check in the My Disney Experience app or look for signage at the restaurant as you pass by.
I hope this clears things up for you, Cathy, and that your upcoming vacation is filled with delicious meals and Mickey-shaped snacks! As always, don't forget that you've got a friend in
planDisney!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
