You betcha! There are a variety of ways to be digitally connected during your Disney Cruise Line vacation.
First, you may choose to use your mobile device to connect to the Cellular at Sea service. This service supports making phone calls, sending and receiving SMS text messages, and light data usage. For data usage, this option works well for things like checking emails and using messaging apps. Some light Internet browsing may work OK using Cellular At Sea, though I recommend other options for heavier surfing and app usage. Be sure to check with your mobile plan provider to verify compatibility with your service and device. Or you may look into eSIM options through GigSky.
As I mentioned before, heavier Internet browsing and app usage are best when using the onboard Wi-Fi service. There are two levels of Wireless Internet Access plans you may purchase: Internet (good for most browsing, email, messaging apps, most social media, and more) or Internet + Streaming (allows for any usage available on the Internet plan, plus access to video streaming sites such as Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, audio streaming like Spotify, and more). Plans can be purchased for the length of your cruise or one day at a time. The 1-Device plan can be shared with multiple devices by disconnecting from one device before connecting to the Internet on a different device. Multi-device plans are also available if you need to connect to the Internet using more than one device simultaneously.
Finally, for the ultimate in Disney cruise connectivity, there is the free option! This option doesn't come with connectivity to browse the Internet or make phone calls. But it does come with all the fun and relaxation you deserve on your Disney cruise. Obviously, if you require connectivity with family or colleagues on land, the Cellular at Sea and Wireless Internet Access services mentioned above will get you what you need. But if you would prefer to unplug and enjoy your time aboard the Disney Cruise Line without distractions, you are welcome to use your mobile device to connect to the DCL-GUEST Wi-Fi onboard and use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to stay informed about onboard activities and events, browse restaurant menus, view ship deck plans, and much more. You can even use the Navigator app to send and receive messages with others in your travel party or new friends you meet onboard.
