Hi there, Kevin!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by to ask us a question. I hope you’re getting excited for all the magic that awaits you at the Happiest Place on Earth!
I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues accessing the
Disneyland mobile app. I checked the minimum device requirements to use the app, and Android devices do require Android 10 or a higher version of the mobile operating system. If your device cannot be updated to a compatible operating system, you should still be able to continue using an older version of the Disneyland mobile app, but you might experience slower app performance and will not receive access to new features.
If you’ve already updated the app and are not able to revert it to the previous compatible version, I suggest linking your
theme park ticket to the smartphone of someone else in your party, if possible. Then you’ll still be able to enter the park digitally and access
Lightning Lane passes,
mobile food and beverage ordering, interactive maps,
attraction wait times, and other features available in the app.
Otherwise, it is possible to visit the theme parks without the use of a smartphone. Entry to the theme parks can be done by bringing a printed copy of your Disney eTicket. You also have the option of linking a
MagicBand+ to your MyDisney account online so you can tap it for theme park entry. There are paper maps available at the theme park entrances to help you navigate (but if you don’t see any on display, simply ask a Cast Member).
I hope this helps and that your visit to the
Disneyland Resort is pixie-dusted to perfection, Kevin! Please don’t hesitate to ask us any other planning questions you have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
