Hi Beatrice,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. You’ll be in the middle of the magic before I can say "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo” and I’m so excited for you!
I'm right there with your kids – major Moana fan over here! Her courage, determination, and empathy are traits I admire, and I am always moved to tears when she sees the beauty in Te Ka and sings “this is not who you are.” Such a powerful message.
Moana is currently out voyaging, and is not available to meet Guests at Walt Disney World. I do know that the line where the sky meets the castle calls her, because she’s been recently seen at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. She knows the way, and I’m hoping she comes back soon, because so many Guests are eager to meet her. Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates.
My family of Moana fans gets our fill in three places. At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you can find some great merchandise at Moana’s Mercantile gift shop on the second floor. My kiddos played with their Moana dolls on the beach for hours during our recent vacation (and I enjoyed my very favorite treat, the iconic Dole Whip, which can be found at Pineapple Lanai inside the resort). Another place for a Moana spotting is during
Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: during the finale of Mickey’s dream, Moana can be seen at the front of the steamboat full of characters celebrating Mickey’s triumph over evil. We screamed so hard when we saw her! Lastly, the Moana sequence in Magic Kingdom Park's Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular is simply stunning.
Wishing you safe voyaging and a magical vacation,
Robyn
