Off with their heads! Kara, my
Queen of Hearts skipped a beat when I saw your question. "Alice in Wonderland" is my favorite book, and the thought of you at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dressed as the Queen brought the biggest smile to my face! Let's
flamin-go!First, let's talk about the
costume guidelines to avoid any ruffled feathers. All Guests, including us over 14, can dress as our favorite characters to party with the grim, grinning ghosts. Specific to your
flamazing prop, you are prohibited from bringing anything that resembles or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon. It cannot have sharp or pointed edges that could injure another Guest. The guidelines also share some helpful examples of acceptable accessories, including "transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords and tutus."
As a flamingo croquet mallet may have a
wicket streak, it probably does not look like an actual weapon. However, decisions on Guest safety and what's allowed are up to the Cast Members at the time. I can say, "Let's wing it! You should be fine." I feel pretty confident in that thought, but it's based on assumptions, and the Cast Members at the party have the final say. They have a flock to protect.
Kara, I hope you have a spirited night celebrating the season with Mickey and all his pals. You should definitely spend some time spinning around in the special party overlay for the
Mad Tea Party. The Disney Parks Blog shared a sneak peek of
where to find characters during the party. Alice, the Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum and the Queen of Hearts will be greeting Guests who venture through the Looking Glass. It's sure to be a very merry unbirthday!
