Hi Ruth ~
I can't think of a more perfect place for a Princess to celebrate a 6th birthday than Disney World! Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for her at Guest Relations.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is one of my favorite special events at the Magic Kingdom (MK). All guests including adults are encouraged (but not required) to dress up for MNSSHP. It is big fun to see all of the creative costumes. Just keep in mind that you'll be boarding attractions and wear comfortable shoes when selecting your costumes.
Here are some highlights that take place
only during MNSSHP that I think your daughter will enjoy:
* Trick-or-Treat locations throughout the park (these will be shown on the Guide Map). They will hand out trick-or-treat bags as you enter for the event but you are welcome to bring your own.
* Special Character Meet & Greets (often unique ones only seen during special events). Take advantage of these.
* Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade - the Headless Horseman and the Grave Diggers make this parade worth the price of admission (its easier to get a good spot for the 2nd parade)
* Happy HalloWishes fireworks
* Villains' Dance Mix & Mingle
There are also character dance parties. Kids love to dance with their favorite characters and I think your daughter would really enjoy it.
Not every attraction is open during MNSSHP but the most popular ones will be (check the special MNSSHP Guide Map for a complete list).
Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. It is our pleasure to assist you!
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
