We are going to MNSSHP and my husband plans on dressing up as Burt the Chimney sweep. He is planning on carrying a real chimney sweet as his prop. Is this allowed?

    Hello, Elizabeth,

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is such a fun evening, and I absolutely love that your husband is going as Burt from Mary Poppins! Are you going as Mary Poppins? It would be so cute! As for an actual chimney sweep, Walt Disney World does ask that "for the safest and best possible Guest experience, please choose costumes that are not obstructive or offensive." I did try to do some research on an actual sweeper, but I wasn't successful on that.  My concern would be how long it is (can you carry it on attractions safely?) and how coarse the brush bristles are (could they scratch someone who brushed up against it?).  However, I did find that there are costume props of the same thing and would suspect that those would be a safe alternative if you are certain the prop won't be obstructive to you and other guests.

Wishing you a magical trip!  If you have any further questions, please let us know. -Kara
