Hello Emily! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Getting dressed up for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and venturing through Magic Kingdom is all a part of the fun for both kids and adults during this Special Event.
When my family went last year, my wife and daughter dressed as Lilo & Stitch (Princess Stitch, specifically) and I was a stormtrooper following my 4-year old son dressed as Kylo Ren. My kids even got dolled up for the event with makeovers at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
As far as costume guidelines are concerned, before Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins, Magic Kingdom maintains the same guidelines for costumes as a regular Theme Park day. This means that while children 14 years of age and younger may wear costumes, any Adults or children older than 14 are expected to adhere to
Theme Park rules for inappropriate attire.
As an Annual Passholder, it is a solid plan to visit before the Special Event as crowds tend to be a little lighter than average since Magic Kingdom is closing to many Guests at 7pm however, any elaborate costumes for Adults will need to be kept under wraps until Cast Members begin preparing for the festivities shortly after 4pm.
I recommend that you stow your costumes in one of the
lockers at Magic Kingdom until the Special Event begins.
Have a Spook-tacular Visit!
