We are going to MNSSHP and have annual passes. Can we use the free parking without having a park ticket? We’ve not yet activated the annual passes for a day at the parks.

    Hiya Karen,

Thank you so much for visiting us again here at planDisney! How fang-tastic that you’ll be attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year.  From watching the Sanderson Sisters stir up mischief on stage, dancing the night away at the zombie dance party, trick-or-treating through the lands of Magic Kingdom, and catching the Headless Horseman riding down Main Street before the Boo-to-You Parade—you are in for a frightfully fun evening full of magic and memories!

Now, let’s fly our broomsticks right into your parking question.  One of the wonderful perks of being an Annual Passholder is complimentary standard theme park parking. This benefit becomes available as soon as your Annual Pass is activated. If your pass isn’t activated yet, you won’t be able to use it for parking just yet.

Here are a couple of options for you:

    • Activate Early: You can activate your passes the night before your party at a ticket window or at Disney Springs Guest Relations. That way, you’ll be ready to wave your passholder perk wand at the parking entrance.
    • Activate at the Party: If you choose to activate on the night of the event, you will first need to pay for parking. Keep your receipt handy and stop by Guest Relations to see if they can assist you with a refund after activation. While not guaranteed, Cast Members will do their best to help sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your evening.
And here’s a not-so-spooky tip: before your party, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for a sneak peek at all the special Halloween treats and exclusive eats—there’s always something sweet (and sometimes spooky) to try that you can only find during the party.

Karen, I hope this helps you feel prepared for a wickedly wonderful night at Magic Kingdom. If you think of more questions while planning, please stop by again.

    See ya real soon,

    Christina
