We will be at the MK this weekend for our first family trip. I am pregnant & we'll have our 2.5 & 4.5 year olds with us. Where is a good place to watch the afternoon parade & perhaps a place to sit for me during it? Thanks so much!

    Hi Carlynn,

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World, and on the new bundle of joy you are expecting!

In order to get a great spot to watch the parade, you will want to find your spot very early, even as much as one to two hours before the parade begins.  Otherwise, these spots get taken, and you will be left standing in order to see.  So, purchase a snack to enjoy while you wait, and enjoy the view.

Tony's Town Square Restaurant has a porch for dining which offers a great view of the parades as they pass by on Main Street, U.S.A.  However, these reservations may be difficult to obtain, especially at this late date.

The Main Street Train Station is a great place to watch, and if you get there early enough, you may snag a chair!

My favorite spot by far is in Liberty Square.  If you are facing The Hall of Presidents, look to the right.  You will find a charming front porch with two very comfortable rocking chairs!  Yes, you will have to get there very early to claim this prime spot, and I can't guarantee that there won't be others who stand in front of you, blocking a completely clear view of the parade.

We have also found that we can get a nice view of the parades when we are at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland.  Find a table outside on the porch, and make sure that you will be able to see the parade route from where you sit.

If none of these are available, please ask a cast member to direct you to a prime spot.  There are many others throughout the Magic Kingdom.

Best of luck to you, and have a wonderful time in the Magic Kingdom!
