We'll be at MK, planning to leave about 3-4 pm. Want to go to Campfire sing along at 7 at FW. If we took the boat at 4, could we eat dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe, then go to the campfire? Not sure about timing and where things are. THANKS!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Denise!

I am excited to hear about the plans for your October 2021 visit! I also love planning ahead and giving myself time to think about every single special activity I want to experience with my family.

I must say that you have found the perfect combination! Magical fun at Magic Kingdom Park followed by a scenic water taxi ride to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for a delicious meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe, and a perfect grand finale to your day at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort with Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long.

Please note that as the Walt Disney World Resort is currently under a phased reopening, Disney Resort hotel amenities and recreation have been modified to comply with physical distancing and health guidelines. Campfires will be unavailable during the initial reopening, so I suggest checking back closer to your travel dates to make sure they will be offered.

As you plan, please note that Whispering Canyon Cafe is a very popular dining destination and reservations are highly recommended. I suggest booking an early dinner and taking water transportation from Magic Kingdom Park at least 45 minutes before your reservation time. If you would like to once again use Disney complimentary transportation, plan to leave for Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort using boat transportation at least one hour before the scheduled time for Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long.

Since you are not familiar with this location, and because Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is big, I recommend taking your time. Once you arrive, take a five-minute walk past Pioneer Hall to the Settlement Depot bust stop, hop on an internal bus and let the driver know that you would like to go to the meadow area, that is where the campfire is located. You can even use the My Disney Experience mobile app to check the resort map and locate your destinations.

I hope this helps you while planning, Denise! Please come back to visit us if you have additional questions.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
