Hi there, Ashley!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to hEAR you have a day at the
Magic Kingdom Park planned for later this year! While I do love all the theme parks, there is something extra magical about the Magic Kingdom Park; even if I have more than one day at the theme parks, I always want to start out by visiting there first!
To me,
strollers are a necessity when at the theme parks! No matter how “big” my boys think they are, mama knows that their little legs will get tired after walking all day, so we always opt for a stroller! Even if it starts out as a place to hold our things, they always, inevitably, end up wanting to ride as the day goes on! So, yes, a stroller is a necessity for this mama! If you plan on renting one at the theme park, they are on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved ahead of your visit. They are plentiful, and as long as you plan on arriving at the theme park early in the day then I would imagine you should have no problem getting one upon arrival. If your travel plans put you at the theme park later in the day OR you just want a 100% guarantee that there will be one for your use, I would recommend either bringing one with you (an umbrella-type stroller is perfectly sufficient) or renting one from an outside vendor. Some local companies will even deliver the stroller to you at your Resort Hotel, making it super convenient and then you will be ready to go!
Another thing that I always find to help us make the most of our time at the theme parks is utilizing
Mobile Ordering on the My Disney Experience App. This is perfect if you want to see and do the most with your day there since you can avoid waiting in lengthy lines for food!
Wishing you the most magical of days at the Magic Kingdom Park!
