Hi, I will be at MK on October 5th during regular park hours. Will they be doing the new fireworks show on this night even though they close early for Boo Bash? TIA

    Hi there, Tina!

I'm so excited to hear you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort this fall! October is going to be especially magical, and you'll have a front-row seat to all the festivities.

First of all, you'll be visiting during the kickoff of The World's Most Magical Celebration, celebrating Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary. All four theme parks will be getting in on the fun, with Beacons of Magic, two new Nighttime Spectaculars, Disney Kite Tails, the Disney Fab 50 Collection, and the grand opening of a new attraction at Epcot - Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. There will be so many things to see and do, and I can't wait to experience it ALL!

One of the most exciting things happening this fall is the premiere of an all-new fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park. Beginning October 1, Guests at Magic Kingdom Park will be able to close out the day with Disney Enchantment, a magically immersive show with gorgeous projections that will extend from Cinderella Castle all the way down Main Street, U.S.A. - there won't be a bad seat in the house! While it will be sad to say goodbye to the current show, Happily Ever After (closing September 29), I know the new show will be amazing!

As a day guest of Magic Kingdom Park on October 5, you'll definitely be able to see Disney Enchantment before the park closes for Disney After Hours BOO BASH later that night. I just checked the Park Hours calendar for that date, and it looks like the showtime for Disney Enchantment is 8 pm. On BOO BASH event days, ticketholders for the brand-SPOOKING-new Halloween celebration will be allowed entry into Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7 pm. BOO BASH guests will be given special wristbands that designate them as event ticketholders. At park closing time, day guests will be slowly filtered out before the event begins at 9 pm. Once the event begins, only Guests with BOO BASH wristbands will be able to access attractions and will have to show their wristbands to enter certain areas of the park.

I'm so happy you'll get a chance to experience Disney Enchantment during the week of the premiere! It's sure to be an amazing show, full of wonder and surprises!

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney with your question. Please let us know if you have more questions before your October vacation!
