We are going to MK on March 16 when the Park "opens" at 8am. How early do they open the main gates to let the crowd gather for rope drop? (and is rope drop at the Castle now?) Thank you!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Carolyn.

Magic Kingdom Park awaits your discovery and exploration bright and early. I would recommend being at the entrance roughly one (1) hour before park opening to enjoy tasty treats and fresh coffee at Main Street Bakery and to capture magical memories with the help of Disney PhotoPass® professional photographers, before you make your way to Cinderella Castle for your Royal morning greeting with Let the Magic Begin welcome show. What a positively perfect way to begin your day!

Carolyn, I hope you enjoy the rest of your touring and consider dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant or at Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen, our newest dining venues

Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire musical extravaganza will delight you throughout the day at Cinderella Castle Forecourt stage, not to mention all the Magic Kingdom Park Parades & Evening Spectaculars.

Please make sure you finalize your plans with My Disney Experience online and mobile app- a handy tool for managing your plans and retrieving important Theme Park information during your visit, using complimentary Resort Guest WiFi.

    Best Disney Wishes~
