Hello! We will be in MK on July 4th. So excited even though I know it will be crazy busy. Since we have park reservations for the day, is it guaranteed that no matter how busy it gets, if we go back to our resort for the afternoon that we can get back in?

Hey Howdy Hey Susan and welcome back to planDisney!

Susan, in just a few short weeks you will be on your way to visit us in the Most Magical Place on Earth! I bet you all are getting so excited about your upcoming trip. You are right that around the 4th of July, things will be busy in the parks, but to your question on re-entry, well it depends. Let's break down some scenarios to make sure you will have your spot for the epic return of the nighttime show in Magic Kingdom to celebrate Independence Day here in the states.

To your question on getting back into the parks if you leave, this will depend on the capacity of the parks and your specific ticket. Disney has a policy that if you are using the Park Hopper option, you may be denied entry to a park you wanted to hop to if it is at capacity limits. So if you are starting in another park, make sure to get to Magic Kingdom closer to the 2:00 p.m. EST time frame to give the best chance for entry.

If you are doing the one park per day option and you are in Magic Kingdom for the whole day, this may be a little different. I have yet to hear Disney denying re-entry to anyone that started in the park in the morning, took a break outside the park and returned. You already should have your Theme Park Reservation and Disney should be expecting you to be in the parks, so you should be given full access all day. One thing that I would highly advise you to do on the day you are in Magic Kingdom before you leave is checking with the Cast Members close to the exit and just confirm with them your intentions to return. They can give you more specific advice on that day to verify your ability to return to the park even if they do hit capacity limits.

One thing that recently changed with the nighttime show in Magic Kingdom around the 4th of July was noted in the park hours. Recently Disney did update the park hours and offerings and noted on the calendar was the return of Disney's Celebrate America - A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky on July 3rd and 4th. No one does nighttime shows quite like Disney and on this special occasion, you are not going to want to miss this one! Make sure to get your spot early to view this spectacular show in celebration of our independence.

Best of luck with the continued planning of your trip and we cannot wait to welcome you to the Vacation Kingdom of the World real soon! Please stop back if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
