We will be going to MK with another group and we’re all going to have Genie+. Are we able to link our passes so we can book Genie+ rides together? And then would we be able to split up and book our own genie+ rides separately too?

Hello Mary Kate!  Welcome to planDisney.  With your Walt Disney World Resort visit just days away, I'll be happy to assist you with your question so you'll be all set and ready to enjoy the magic of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

If you haven't already, what you'll want to do is connect your My Disney Experience account with the other group's account(s) via Family and Friends.  The easiest way to do this is through the My Disney Experience mobile app.  When signed into your account, use the menu button in the lower right corner and scroll to "My Profile", then scroll down to "Show My Linking Code".  Have your friends each log in to their accounts, select "My Profile" and then "Family & Friends List" at the top of the page.  They will scroll to the bottom of the list and choose "Add a Guest" and then "Scan their linking code".  There is also an option to manually enter the linking code.

On the day of your visit, when selecting a Lightning Lane attraction with Disney Genie+, your party should automatically be populated with anyone in your Family & Friends list who also has a Disney Park Pass reservation for that day, up to 12 Guests.  You will see the option to add or remove Guests from the party prior to completing your reservation.  This will be the same process you will use if you would like to split up to experience different attractions -- simply add or remove Guests from the party.

If your group is larger than 12 Guests, you may need to split your group into smaller parties to reserve Lightning Lane attractions.  Remember that your return time will be a one-hour window, so even if everyone is not part of the same Lightning Lane reservation, as long as the return windows overlap you'll all be able to enter the Lightning Lane together during your valid return times.

I hope that helps!  If you need clarification about anything I mentioned or have additional questions, please stop back and see us again.  Have a wonderful visit!
