Hi, Whitney! Welcome to planDisney! It looks like you are just a few weeks away from your trip. In no time at all you'll be right in the middle of The Most Magical Place on Earth, so allow me to waive my magic wand and get you some answers to your sweet and de-light-ful question.
It sounds like you already have the makings of a pixie-dusted trip. I absolutely love everything you've planned so far.
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties are a great way to ensure you have a guaranteed viewing area for
Happily Ever After. The Post Party, in particular, is a great option because it gives you quite a bit of flexibility leading up to showtime. As you've already learned, you'll check in at
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant beginning 60 minutes prior to fireworks, a Cast Member will give everyone in your party a wristband, they'll walk you over to the viewing area, and you'll find your spot. Then, after the show is over, you'll head back over to Tomorrowland Terrace where you'll enjoy a variety of desserts and beverages. I really like this option because Main Street, U.S.A. can get very crowded while many guests are exiting the park after fireworks. Instead, you'll be enjoying the good life with your treats.
Whitney, I have good news for you. There is a way for you to have time to take in
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, the newest nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom. I checked the timestamps on photos I took of the parade when I saw it on a recent trip, which showed that the parade is right at 10 minutes long. It starts on Main Street, U.S.A. between the fire department and
Harmony Barber Shop. I recommend finding a spot as close to the start as possible, so as soon as it passes, you can quickly make your way to Tomorrowland Terrace.
If you have any other questions, please bring them back to us here at planDisney. Wave to Tinker Bell for me as she flies by.
Have a magical trip!
Melanie
