If we were at MK and have dinner reservations at the GF for 5:30, how much time should we give ourselves to get there? Monorail or the boat? We are staying at the FQ. If we are at AK with dinner reservations at GF, how should we get there? Thank you.

    Hi Tara,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is just a quick Resort Monorail/Ferryboat ride away from Magic Kingdom Park. Based on my experience, it has always been quicker for me to take the Resort Monorail from Magic Kingdom Park over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. I would allow for at least twenty (20) to thirty (30) minutes to get to the Resort Hotel.

If you are at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you can get to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa by way of Disney Bus Transportation. Buses typically arrive at the Parks every twenty minutes or so. Depending on the timing of your arrival at the bus stop, you will need to allow anywhere from forty-five (45) minutes to an hour for travel time. The quickest way to get there is to take a taxi. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is only about nine (9) miles from Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park so, if you don't mind spending a little money on transportation, it's a faster way to get there.

I hope this information helps. Please visit us again if you have any additional vacation planning questions!
