1st to MK 9/27. DS 4.5/ DD 1.5. People suggest leave MK in afternoon back to hotel for rest/break & return in the eve. Park closes 7pm for Halloween party-are all attractions open during the party? Worth buying tix to go in eve to have full day there?

We've been to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party many times and we've never regretted going!  With kids as young as yours though, you may think twice about the itinerary you're considering.  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party takes place from 7pm to midnight.  Scheduled events include a special Halloween parade and fireworks show.  There is also trick-or-treating as well as plenty of other exclusive events around the Magic Kingdom.  Of course, most of the attractions are up and running, with far shorter waits than usual.  With all that takes place, it is easy to spend the entire five hours at the party.  You can imagine, then, how a full morning in the theme park followed by an after hours event would almost surely leave your little ones completely tuckered out.  On the day my family goes to the Halloween party, we always take the morning off and spend it relaxing at our resort pool or visiting a few shops at Downtown Disney.  You might consider doing something similar if you do plan to attend.
