All 3 of our MK days coincide with Very Merriest After Hours. Will we still be able to stay and see the fireworks show/s and ride until 9PM? Is there any down side for us? Should we try to switch our park reservations to non VMAH days? TY!

    Hi there, Eileen!

I'm so happy to hEAR you have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation on the horizon! November will be here before you know it, and I'm sure you're in the thick of mapping out your park plans and counting down the days until you arrive.

How exciting that not only will you be visiting during the Holidays at Walt Disney World, but also soon after the kickoff of The World's Most Magical Celebration, commemorating Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary! All four theme parks will be joining in to mark the occasion, with such special Guest offerings as Beacons of Light, the Fab 50 Character Collection, TWO new Nighttime Spectaculars, Disney Kite Tails, 50th Anniversary Celebration Merchandise, and much, much more. It's going to be SO amazing!

No need to worry about missing the Disney Enchantment Nighttime Spectacular if you'll be visiting Magic Kingdom Park on the same date as a Disney Very Merriest After Hours event. Day Guests will be able to enjoy the fireworks before the park officially closes for the evening. At the regularly scheduled park closing time (after that evening's showing of Disney Enchantment), Cast Members will be positioned throughout the park to slowly filter out day guests. After Hours event guests will then need to show their event wristbands to access certain areas of the park and to enter the queue lines of any attractions. (Event ticketholders will be admitted to Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7:00 pm on the evening of the After Hours event, and will be able to enjoy TWO fireworks shows, including Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show.)

I can't wait to see what kind of fun holiday merchandise and themed snacks will be available throughout the holiday season - I'm keeping a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements!

Please come back and visit us here at planDisney with any other questions you have before your trip. Our panel is made up of moms, dads, and more, who are Guests - just like you! We love being able to share tips and advice from things we've learned on our own Disney vacations to add a bit of extra magic to yours.

    Have a magical day!
