Hi! We'll be going to MK for 1 day but my 4 yr. old really wants to do the character dining with Cinderella but there is no availability. Should I still try on that day for dining without the reservation?

Hi, Jemma! This is probably the most sought-after Advance Dining Reservation at Walt Disney World, but don't lose all hope. I suggest that you check the website very frequently for cancellations.  As Guests' plans change, so do their dining reservations.  You never know when an opening might occur.  I would be especially vigilant in the days right before your trip.  Since this dining experience is pre-paid, there may be some openings in the day or two before the day you want to dine.  A cancellation policy applies and will result in charges if the Guest cancels with insufficient notice. If Guests' plans change, there will be cancellations to avoid paying for a meal they aren't attending. If you're staying onsite and still needing reservations when you arrive, seek help from the Guest Services at your Resort. They will help you check for openings. Your chances of securing a walk-up reservation will depend on crowd levels and cancellations that day.  If you or your little one needs a set dining time, has a hard time waiting, or doesn't want to miss out on too much park time, you may not want to take the chance. If a walk-up reservation happens to be available, you may be required to wait quite a while, so be prepared. Sending pixie-dusted wishes that you get the reservation you want! Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
