If we are going to MK on a day when they are having Mickey's Christmas Party that we aren't attending do we have to leave or can we stay to see the Wishes firework?

    Hi Stephen!

On the evenings of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the Magic Kingdom has a very special fireworks display -"Holiday Wishes - Celebrate the Spirit of the Season Fireworks".  If you do not purchase a ticket to the event, you will have to leave the park before the party begins.

However, here's a secret:  you can still enjoy the fireworks from several different vantage points in Walt Disney World.  You can see them from the beautiful beach at the Polynesian Resort, from the Ferry Ramp at the Ticket and Transportation Center, from the dock at Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and from my favorite vantage point - the observation deck outside The California Grill at the top of the Contemporary Resort!

May I suggest that your you and your party take advantage of this time and do some "resort hopping" on the Monorail line, enjoying the gorgeous holiday decorations, and perhaps making an Advanced Dining Reservation at one of the amazing restaurants at one of the aforementioned resorts before enjoying your special view of the fireworks?  It will be a festive evening, I am sure!
