We will be at MK on 5/22/11 & 5/26/11. Checking the calendar today, I noticed they've extended the park hours and will close later, as compared to when I checked the calendar about a month ago. Why does that usually occur? Thanks!

    Hi there Courtney!

That is a very good question! I too have seen the calendar change inexplicably but, it's always been for the better. In other words, they typically add more hours to the evening as in your case. I think this is a very good strategic move by Disney to make sure all of their guests enjoy the parks in a pleasant way. My theory is that since Disney has so many Resorts they have an idea of the crowds they are to expect around that time so if they see an increase in resort guests, they will add more time to the scheduled dates. Or it could be that they just wanted to open later.... As long as everyone is happy, then by all means, add more time to the schedule! I hope this information helps you with your planning and if you have more questions, please ask away, we are always here to help! Have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
